My Firsts... things I've seen or experienced in NYC
Got a gift in the mail that made me (in a matter of less than 2 minutes): surprised, anxious, excited, blessed, joyful, emotional, encouraged, inspired and made me feel so loved! (as you can tell, I'm not used to, nor am I good at receiving gifts)
Taking a 6 hour walk with an amazing fireman. ;)
Realizing I'm such a Cali girl and I love it!!!
Hearing enough vulgarity and profanity in this past 1.5 months to last me a lifetime.
First time in a KMART in years!!!
A woman has asked me if she could read my palm. My first thought, "God tells me my love story, not you!" but I didn't.
First time dealing with ALLERGIES. It's been draining me out lately. Ugh.
First friend from home to visit: Dustyn (although I have hung out with 2 others who just happen to have been in the city)
Getting another p.t. job: STARBUCKS!!! yay benefits!
Personal card in the mail that wasn't a bill
Shopping trip to IKEA in Brooklyn- took about half a day
First attempt to see my true love: Conan O'brien (some day I'll meet him)
Red Velvet Cheesecake
Part time job!!! YAY! I'll be assisting in merchandising for Aeropostale.
Spending time in the NY Public Library multiple times- I'm officially a nerd!!! I love that place so much! It makes me feel like all my dreams are possible- not sure why it does that too me, perhaps all the knowledge that can be gained there?
Seeing Sheryl Crow perform at Good Morning America
Seeing Hannah Montana in concert at Bryant Park
Going to the flea market in Hells Kitchen
Seeing an art store!!! I miss Michael's sooo much!
Having a New Yorker upset at me... scary
Attending Gallery Church my first week here, as well as joining one of their small group
Using the local laundromat- t's been years since I've done laundry at one of those places
Baseball Game: Padres VS Mets. Padres won!!! And of course I got cussed out, threatened, got some crazy gazes and I got a piece of pretzel thrown at me. They were all just bitter and jealous of my awesome San Diego spirit!
Burger and Fries at the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park... yuuuuuuuummmmmy!
Taking the subway in the wrong direction... oops
Thunderstorm in NYC (it gets so loud and echos) Oh, and the lightning is scary too!
Korean Food
